In 1990, he was promoted to captain and sent to Fort Huachuca, Arizona to become a Military Intelligence Officer specializing in imagery analysis.  He was then stationed in Babenhausen, Germany with the 41st Field Artillery Brigade as the brigade security and intelligence officer responsible for the unit’s nuclear surety program.

Following his 3-year overseas tour, he was assigned as Congressional Liaison Officer and Intelligence Budget Analysts to the Defense Intelligence Agency at the Pentagon and on Capitol Hill.  Leaving military service in 1996, he was self-employed until the events of 9/11 brought him back into military service.
