Mrs. Tammy Newman
Mrs. Newman graduated from Auburn University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She received her Master of Education degree in Marketing Education from Auburn University in 1990. She taught Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Business Technology Applications for 13 years. She was also the DECA sponsor and co-op teacher. Mrs. Newman received her Master's add-on in School Counseling from the University of Alabama. She has been a counselor for 15 years. She has been employed at Fort Payne High School for 25 years. Mrs. Newman has 28 years experience in education. Mrs. Newman retired last year but returned to work part-time as a counselor this year at Fort Payne High School. She enjoys reading, playing the piano, singing in the church choir and traveling. She is a fan of Auburn basketball and football.

Mrs. Amanda Varnadore
Mrs. Amanda Varnadore received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Auburn University. She completed her Master of Education degree in guidance counseling from University of West Alabama. She has taught all secondary grades (6-12) language arts during her 12 years in the classroom at Opelika Middle School, Boaz Middle School, and Fort Payne High School. Mrs. Varnadore served as the guidance counselor at Big Spring Lake Kindergarten for three years as well as being at stay-at-home mom for three years. She is now serving as one of the FPHS guidance counselors. Mrs. Varnadore loves her Auburn Tigers and Fort Payne Wildcats!
