Friday, February 26th, 2021
*Prom tickets will be on sale Monday March 1st. Tickets are $55. You make purchase them before or after school from Mrs. Maxwell room #112, Mrs. Goggans room #201 and Mrs. Everett room #305. Please do NOT interrupt their classes. Prom this year will be on Saturday, April 10th, location TBA.
*Prom Date forms are on the office front counter for students taking a date who is not a current student at Fort Payne High School.
*If anyone is in need of professional clothing to wear for you scholarship or job interviews, please see Mrs. Freeman. FBLA has a professional dress closet for students to use.
*Attention all Seniors: if you would like to be involved in this year’s Slow Motion Pep Rally, check google classroom and make yourself available on March 17th. See Mrs. Barnes if you have questions.
*Tues., March 2nd – We will go to homerooms for juniors to do ACT demographics. Students in grades 9, 10, and 12 should have independent assignments to work on during that time. THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL DAY.
*Tues., March 9th - ACT for all juniors. Virtual day for seniors. 9th and 10th graders must be on campus. Students in grades 9, 10, and 12 should have independent assignments just like for Pre-ACT.
* 3rd 9 Weeks Test Schedule: Thursday, March 11 – English/Language, History, and all A blocks. Friday, March 12 – Math, Science, and all B blocks. Report Cards go home Friday, March 19th
*Work Based Learning students must have their wage and hours sheets filled out by March 10th.
*All NHS membership dues are by March 24th. Senior NHS members ordering a graduation stole must purchase from Ms. McClain no later than March 15th.
* Seniors that did not attend Cap & Gown picture day, (last Friday) also missed several other senior activities:
1. Mr. Black did your green screen video for graduation and Who’s Who pictures
2. All seniors signed the senior signature page for the yearbook
3. Seniors that have paid their graduation fee, picked up their cap & gown from Mrs. Owens
The MAKE UP DAY (TRADITIONAL & VIRTUAL STUDENTS) for the senior green screen video, signing your senior signature page, Who's Who pictures, and picking up your graduation items will be March 2, 2021, beginning at 8:30 in Mr. Black's room- DO NOT BE LATE. This will be the only chance you will have to make up these missed activities. If you have any questions about this make up, please email lfreeman@fpcsk12.com. NOTE- Bill Miller will not be here to make up your pictures, this time is only designated for the 3 activities listed above.
*Upcoming Senior deadlines: 1. Past due: only 88 seniors have submitted their slides for the senior video. Is you child one of them? Use this link to check…all we need are 3 Google Slides with pictures of you child. http://docs. To turn in your picture, email it to lfreeman@fpcsk12.com (this may be taken by the photographer of your choice, cell phone Imagines will even work).
*Cheerleader tryouts will be March 18th. Signs ups will be in the office beginning this week. The last day to sign-up will be Friday, March 5th. Please make sure to pick up the information packet when you sign-up. A parent meeting will be Monday, March 8th at 5:30 in the FPHS Cafeteria.
*Over half of the senior class have missed these 2 deadlines: Only 85 out of 210 seniors have turned in senior slides for your senior video that will be played at Class Night Senior Video Slides- Use this link to TURN IN your slides https://forms.gle/vtnTow5AzxGgZLLf6 . 101 out of 210 senior have NOT picked up their cap & gown (these are in and may be picked up from Mrs. Owens. You must be paid in full to pick up your cap & gown. *Senior Fee- Pay Mrs. Owens for your Cap and Gown. $80 this fee also includes your diploma and diploma cover. Checks payable to FPHS. *Students, if you happen to get quarantined, you must continue to do your assignments daily and communicate with your teachers. You cannot wait until you come back to try to make it all up then. You will be too far behind.
*There will be a $1 charge for replacing lunch cards.
*Yearbooks are on Sale: 2020-2021 Yearbooks will be available for purchase September 1-March 31, 2021. The cost is $55. No extra books will be ordered. If you do not pre-order a yearbook you will not be able to buy one at a later date. Payment Options: www.balfour.com -search for Fort Payne High School-verify that our school name is displayed-click Yearbook and continue following the steps on the website to place your order.
*Students, please remember to wear your masks. If you need a mask come to the office.
*Afternoon bells: 1st bell for bus riders ONLY. 2nd bell for car riders & car drivers.
*Students, please make sure you use the hand sanitizer in the Hallways frequently.
*Students are not allowed to hang out in the parking lots before school, you must enter the buildings and go to class.
*NO cell phones out at school!!!!!
*Students are NOT allowed to go to their vehicles after they come on to campus without signing out/in with Mrs. Vezertzis in the office.
*All attendance notes need to be turned in to the office first thing in the morning. If you have been absent, you must bring your note to the front office or email notes to Mrs. Vezertzis at kvezertzis@fpcsk12.com Check out notes must be turned into the front office by 10:00am. After 10:00am they will not be accepted. There are students who have already used up their 3rd nine weeks parent notes. You are allowed 3 parent notes per 9 weeks. You will receive a zero for any grade taken during an unexcused absence.
