Monday, February 22th, 2021

*Congratulations to both JV and Varsity Winterguards this weekend.  JV placed 4th while Varsity placed 1st.  Great job and way to represent Fort Payne High School.

* Cheerleader tryouts will be March 18. Signs ups will be in the office beginning today. The last day to sign-up will be Friday, March 5th. Please make sure to pick up the information packet when you sign-up. A parent meeting will be Monday, March 8th at 5:30 in the FPHS Cafeteria.

*Here are the result of the State Wrestling Tournament:  David Miguel placed 6th at 106 lbs., Jax Cyrus placed 5th a 113 lbs., Cole Blalock placed 3rd at 126 lbs., Dawson Williams placed 4th at 145 lbs., Arturo Rodriguez placed 5th at 152 lbs., and Riley Kuhn is our 220 lb. State Champ!!!  Fort Payne High School placed 5th as a team out of 68 teams.

*Over half of the senior class have missed these 2 deadlines: Only 85 out of 210 seniors have turned in senior slides for your senior video that will be played at Class Night Senior Video Slides- Use this link to TURN IN your slides  https://forms.gle/vtnTow5AzxGgZLLf6  . 101 out of 210 senior have NOT picked up their cap & gown (these are in and may be picked up from Mrs. Owens. You must be paid in full to pick up your cap & gown. *Senior Fee-  Pay Mrs. Owens for your Cap and Gown. $80 this fee also includes your diploma and diploma cover. Checks payable to FPHS.  *If you borrowed a calculator for testing, please return it today to the office.

*Prom this year, as of right now, we are NOT having a prom.

 *Calendar Girl is on Saturday, February 27th.  

 *Seniors, if you have not checked your Class of 2021 Google Classroom lately you are about to miss some important deadlines!!

1. Senior Video Slides  were due January 24th, 2021 (see Senior Goggle Classroom for instructions).

2. Senior Fee-Pay Mrs. Owens for your Cap and Gown.  The fee is due. The cost is $80 due now and also includes you diploma and diploma cover. Check payable to FPHS.  You can find Mrs. Owens in room #101. 

3. One Casual picture must be emailed to Mrs. Freeman by March 15th, 2021.

*Students, if you happen to get quarantined, you must continue to do your assignments daily and communicate with your teachers. You cannot wait until you come back to try to make it all up then. You will be too far behind.

*Students, reminder that check out notes need to  be to Mrs. Vezertzis by 10:00am. There are students who have already used up their 3rd nine weeks parent notes. You are allowed 3 parent notes per 9 weeks. You will receive a zero for any grade taken during an unexcused absence.

*There will be a $1 charge for replacing lunch cards.

*Yearbooks are on Sale: 2020-2021 Yearbooks will be available for purchase September 1-March 31, 2021. The cost is $55. No extra books will be ordered. If you do not pre-order a yearbook you will not be able to buy one at a later date. Payment Options: www.balfour.com -search for Fort Payne High School-verify that our school name is displayed-click Yearbook and continue following the steps on the website to place your order.

*Students, please remember to wear your masks. If you need a mask come to the office.

*Afternoon bells:  1st bell for bus riders ONLY.  2nd bell for car riders & car drivers.

*Students, please make sure you use the hand sanitizer in the Hallways frequently.

*Students are not allowed to hang out in the parking lots before school, you must enter the buildings and go to class.

*NO cell phones out at school!!!!!

*Students are NOT allowed to go to their vehicles after they come on to campus without signing out/in with Mrs. Vezertzis in the office.

*All attendance notes need to be turned in to the office first thing in the morning. If you have been absent, you must bring your note to the front office or email notes to Mrs. Vezertzis at kvezertzis@fpcsk12.com  Check out notes must be turned into the front office by 10:00am. After 10:00am they will not be accepted.
