*Today starts the new 9 weeks. 

*Anyone interested in joining The Real World Design Team please come see Mrs. Chappell in room 207 for a short meeting today at the end of 4th block from 2:45-3:00.

*Boys Soccer check the final tryout list in the office.

*Girls who signed up to try out for soccer need to stop by the office and pick up a copy of dragonfly today.

*If you ordered and paid for a Homecoming t-shirt, please stop by the office to pick it up.

*Bonus points certificates are ready to be picked up in the office, if you completed the Title 1 PowerPoint form.

*There will be a $1 charge for replacing lunch cards.

*Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated each year in the United States from September 15-October 15. In an effort to allow your voices to be heard, Mrs. Byrd is inviting our Hispanic students to write poems that may be published in the Times-Journal before Oct. 15. Mrs. Byrd will be staying after school on Wednesdays until 4:30 to help students with this opportunity.  Various forms of poetry, examples, and assistance will be provided to each student who would like to write about his or her culture, heritage, traditions, and personal experience. Please learn more on Wednesday afternoons, or stop by Mrs. Byrd’s classroom (111) during her planning period—2nd block.

*Students, stop by your homeroom to pick up your picture card proofs or by the office to pick up your picture access code.  Order your school day pictures online from Bill Miller by visiting www.billmillerphotographers.com and enter your access code from your picture proof card to order or call Bill Miller Photographers at 256-892-3150.

*Any boy grades 9-12 interested in playing basketball this season, and who has not played basketball before at Fort Payne High School, needs to sign the list in the office and pick up an information packet. 

*The FIRST Robotics team is selling button again this year.  They are $1 each.  Brand new designs.  You can purchase from Mrs. Shugart or Mr. McClung’s room. Check your email from Mrs. Shugart.

*Yearbooks are on Sale: 2020-2021 Yearbooks will be available for purchase September 1-March 31, 2021. The cost is $45 from Sept.1 - Dec. 31.  The cost beginning January. 1- March 31 with be $55. No extra books will be ordered. If you do not pre-order a yearbook you will not be able to buy one at a later date. Payment Options: www.balfour.com -search for Fort Payne High School-verify that our school name is displayed-click Yearbook and continue following the steps on the website to place your order. Price: Sept. 1- Dec. 31, 2020 - $45 Jan. 1 - March 31, 2021 -$55

*Students, please remember to wear your masks. If you need a mask come to the office.

*All students should be checking school email at least at the beginning of each day. Ask any teacher if you are not sure how to get to your school email.

*Afternoon bells:  1st bell for bus riders ONLY.  2nd bell for car riders & car drivers.

*Students, please make sure you use the hand sanitizer in the Hallways frequently.

*Students are not allowed to hang out in the parking lots before school, you must enter the buildings and go to class.

*NO cell phones out at school!!!!!

*Students are NOT allowed to go to their vehicles after they come on to campus without signing out/in with Mrs. Vezertzis in the office.

*All attendance notes need to be turned in to the office first thing in the morning. If you have been absent, you must bring your note to the front office or email notes to Mrs. Vezertzis at kvezertzis@fpcsk12.com  Check out notes must be turned into the front office by 9:30am. After 9:30am they will not be accepted.

*GoFan.com, is the new ticketing policy at FPHS. This service will allow you to purchase tickets for athletic events online through Fort Payne’s GoFan.com page or by presenting a debit/credit card (or mobile payment option) at the ticket gate. Purchasing tickets online allows fans to easily access and share tickets (email or text) without standing in line. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets online prior to reaching the facility. Signage will be setup at the venue to allow fans to easily navigate an online purchase. Debit/Credit card stations will be setup to support card and mobile payment options at the ticket gates.
