Mrs. List

My name is Jennifer List and I am the new Principal at Little Ridge Intermediate School. I am extremely excited for the opportunity to lead the teachers, staff, and students of LRIS  on a new course of educational growth, as we prepare to transition in the coming years to a new facility. I firmly believe it takes a village to raise a child and I intend to work alongside parents, teachers, and community members to shape the future generations of Fort Payne City Schools. 

As an educator, I have 12 years of teaching experience in public education. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Certification in K-12 Special Education. I taught Special Education in the general education inclusion and resource classroom settings at Fort Payne Middle School and Fort Payne High School prior to obtaining my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama and assuming the position of assistant principal for two years at Fort Payne Middle School and William’s Avenue.

I reside in Fort Payne, Alabama with my husband of 31 years, Kevin List. I relocated to Northeast Alabama eleven years ago from Ohio with my husband and our youngest daughter and have been blessed to experience the southern hospitality and welcoming spirit of this community.

Our three children are all married and we now have four wonderful grandchildren. Our youngest daughter, Jena, resides in Rainsville with her husband, Josh. Our other two children, Lacie and Austin, live in Ohio with their spouses and our grandchildren-Ellie, Rylan, Adalee, and Rhett.
