Welcome to the Finance Department

  • Computer screen with pie chart The Fort Payne City Board of Education's accounting and finance department responsibilities include purchasing and accounts payable, payroll and finance. Our department maintains and prepares payroll for each of the board’s 350 plus employees, presents monthly financial statements at each regularly scheduled board meeting, reports on the board’s financial plan through a system-wide budget, and maintains the board’s accounting records in accordance with principles generally accepted in the United States. Each year the board’s financial statements are audited by an independent accounting firm.
