Remind
Remind
Remind is the virtual communication tool utilized by Fort Payne City Schools.
This is a two-way messaging tool for communication with parents and students via text messages.
Schools Using Tool:
- All schools,teachers, and clubs
Parent Information:
You will need to join the Remind group to participate and receive messages. The "How to Join" information will be sent home if your child's teacher/coach/sponsor is using this tool.

Teachers can be reached by phone or email. The contact information for teachers can be found on each school's website by choosing the "Staff Directory" icon as seen below.

Parent Information:
Go to the school website to access the individual teacher emails.
The school phone numbers are also listed on each the school's homepage.

PowerSchool Gradebook
PowerSchool - Official Gradebook
This is the student information system (SIS) to communicate grades, attendance, and disciplinarian issues with guardians and students. This is the "Official Gradebook" of the school system.
Schools Using Tool:

Parent Instructions:
Parent login credentials are sent home at the beginning of the school year. Parents will need to log into PowerSchool using those credentials in order to view student grades, conduct records, and attendance at any time during the year. Contact the school office with any log-in issues.

The Fort Payne City School System maintains an official website and Facebook page for the sharing of school information.

You will need to visit these sites regularly to find the information being shared.

Blackboard Mass Notifications
Blackboard Mass Notification
This one-way communication tool is used by all schools to push urgent school messages out to parents and students through email, text, and voice when accounts are connected. This tool is also used at the classroom level to send information related to the class out to parents and students.
Weather alerts is an example of the types of messages sent.

Parent Information:
Parents will need to to update their demographic information with all schools their children attend. This information would include:
- Current phone number (mobile number for text alerts)
- Current email
- Current physical address.

Schoology LMS
Schoology
Schoology is the learning management system (LMS) in the classroom for sharing of files, assignments, and communication for students and teachers. There are currently no parent accounts with this system.

Edgenuity
Edgenuity
Edgenuity is our virtual learning platform for all students enrolled in virtual learning.

Parent Information:
Students should check Edgenuity daily for messages that include information about Google Meet and daily work.

Seesaw
Seesaw
Seesaw is a digital classroom management tool and a digital student portfolio tool. Each parent or guardian will have access to ONLY his or her child to view files their child uploads (images, video, recordings, etc.) and be able to leave comments for their child to see/hear.

Parent Information:
Parents will need to follow the instructions sent home on how to join their child's Seesaw group and view their child's work.

Class Dojo
Class Dojo
Class Dojo is a behavioral management tool used in the classroom. Immediate information in reference to your child's day-to-day behavior can be seen using this tool.
Schools Using this Tool:
- WVES - various teachers
- LRIS
Parent Information:
You will need to join the Class Dojo Group by following the instructions sent home by your child's teacher in order to connect to the tool.
