Mrs. Emily Roberts

Mrs. Roberts is in her 6th year of teaching music education. Before coming to Fort Payne Middle School, she taught middle school band for two years in Mississippi and taught elementary music and chorus for two years in Georgia. Mrs. Roberts was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast where she graduated from Vancleave High School. Mrs. Roberts received here Bachelor of Music in Music Education at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. She performed in the Spirit of Carey, Evidence Winds, Symphonic Winds, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Chorale Orchestra, Worship Choir Band, William Carey Orchestra, and Pep Band as well as several chamber ensembles. Mrs. Roberts was the mellophone section leader for Spirit of Carey in 2017 and high brass captain in 2018. She was principle horn in William Carey University's premiere ensemble, Symphonic Winds, in 2017, 2018, and 2019. She performed trumpet in William Carey University's top jazz ensemble for 2 years.

Mrs. Roberts performed in Dayton, Ohio at WGI World Championships finals in 2018 and 2019 with Evidence Winds. In 2018, she was a member of the mellophone section of the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. Mrs. Roberts graduated William Carey University in 2019 and went on the complete her Master of Music Education from William Carey University in 2020.

Mrs. Roberts is married to her husband, Lucas Roberts. Together, they have two precious daughters, Adeline and Eloise Roberts. When not at school, Mrs. Roberts loves to sing and play music at church and be at home, working on the homestead, helping her husband in their orchard, and tending to her sheep and flock of chickens.
