*Students, please check and read your email at least once or twice each day.
*Students taking co-op for the 1st time during 2nd semester, must have all paperwork, resume and recommendation letters completed and turned in by Dec. 14th. Applications may be picked up in Room 304 from Mrs. Pair.
*All Calendar Girl winners are reminded that the deadline to enter the Christmas parade is Friday, Dec. 7th. You must register at the Chamber of Commerce.
*Starting next week, Senior homerooms will take turns going to Mrs. Freeman’s room during 4th block to choose Senior portraits. The schedule is on your work of the day email.
*Congratulations to the wrestling team for their victory over Coosa Valley last night. The team sat out several of their starters and were still able to best Coosa Valley by double digit points.
*FCA will be the First Friday of every month from now on. FCA this Friday at 7:20am in Mrs. Varnadore’s room. Everyone is welcome!
*Congratulations to the following students for their performance at the Alabama State Drama Competition: Scoring Excellent: Cori Simmons, Rebekah Riddle, Skylar Wooten, Katie Kuykendall and Jada Brisendine. Scoring Superior: Jesse Hendricks, Skylar Bates, Gabriel Miller, Anna Grace Miller, Zanna Poe, Skylar Wooten, Ethan Sowash, and Laura Boeringer. Best in state Group acting: Jesse Hendricks, Skylar Bates, and Gabriel Miller.
*Students, please take a final look at your schedule for next semester. We will extend changes until this Friday, Dec. 7th.
*Attention all FTA and FCCLA members – please go to our google classroom and sign up to help with the Gingerbread House competition this Friday.
*The Downtown Christmas Festival will be Friday night from 4-7. Everyone is invited to go by the Coal and Iron Building to vote for the FPHS Gingerbread House Champion. Cast your vote for one dollar and you may vote as many times as you like.
*Attention Seniors: The instructions for turning in pictures for the senior video have changed. Do not turn in any pictures until you receive further instructions. Check your email for more information from Mrs. Barnes.
*Juniors and Seniors, Prom tickets are on sale now for $65. Tickets will increase to $100 after Feb. 1st. All Juniors and Seniors must purchase a ticket.
*Students must stay on the sidewalks until the buses stop in the bus loop. You will be written up if you violate this policy.
*Yearbooks are on Sale: 2018-2019 Yearbooks are currently on sale for $50 (This price is only good, if you purchase your book prior to Christmas Break. There will be a price increase of $10 ($60) for all books purchased after Christmas break). No extra books will be ordered. If you do not pre-order a yearbook you will not be able to buy one at a later date. Payment Options: If you would like to pay for your yearbook via credit/debit card please use the following link and instructions: Please go to www.balfour.com enter our school name, verify the city and state, and click on “Yearbook” to place your online order. If you prefer to pay via check, please make all checks payable to FPHS yearbook and bring to Mrs. Freeman in room 302. Payment Plan Options (before Christmas Break): if you chose the payment plan option, all balances must be paid in full by March 20th . Payment #2-$20, Due by Dec. 13th. Payment #3 -$10, Due by Jan. 17th.
*Students, remember that check out notes are due to Mrs. Vezertzis by break time or 9:30am. If you bring a note after break time they will not be accepted and your parents will have to come to the school and check you out. We do not allow check outs over the phone.
