*Students, please check and read your email at least once or twice each day.

*There will be a Student Council meeting during 4th block today in Mrs. Shugart’s room. Members should check in with their 4th block teachers and then report directly to the meeting.

*FCCLA/FTA is sponsoring our first annual Gingerbread house contest. The houses will be displayed at the CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK FESTIVAL downtown Fort Payne on Dec. 7th. The public will pay $1 per vote with proceeds going to Toys for Tots. The  winning group will receive a trophy. The contest is open to all clubs or groups in the school. If you would like to participate, we will have an informational meeting for one person from each club/groups on Thursday Nov. 8th during 4th period in Culinary. DEADLINE TO SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT IS TUESDAY NOV. 13TH. 

*Deadline for joining HOSA is this Thursday. Please see Mrs. Wilson if you are interested.

*FCA on Friday at 7:20am, our Coach Elmore will be the speaker. All are welcome!

*Attention all Key Club Members: This week we will be celebrating Key Club Week. Check Google class for more info or come by Mrs. Barnes’ room.

*NACC will be here Wed. Nov. 7th for Dual Enrollment at 9:30am in the library. This is for Spring Dual Enrollment registration.

*Balfour will return on Thurs. Nov. 8th for Senior orders from 11-1pm the cafeteria. 

*Tickets for 101 Dalmatians are available for $5. See Mr. Crawford or Cast and Crew to purchase.

 *Students must stay on the sidewalks until the buses stop in the bus loop. You will be written up if you violate this policy.

 *Juniors and Seniors, Prom tickets are on sale now for $55. There will be a price increase after December 1st. All Juniors and Seniors must purchase a ticket.

 *Yearbooks are on Sale: 2018-2019 Yearbooks are currently on sale for $50 (This price is only good, if you purchase your book prior to Christmas Break. There will be a price increase of $10 ($60) for all books purchased after Christmas break).  No extra books will be ordered.  If you do not pre-order a yearbook you will not be able to buy one at a later date. Payment Options: If you would like to pay for your yearbook via credit/debit card please use the following link and instructions: Please go to www.balfour.com enter our school name, verify the city and state, and click on “Yearbook” to place your online order.  If you prefer to pay via check, please make all checks payable to FPHS yearbook and bring to Mrs. Freeman in room 302. Payment Plan Options (before Christmas Break): if you chose the payment plan option, all balances must be paid in full by March 20th . Payment #1—(Deposit) $20, Due by Nov. 15th. Payment #2-$20, Due by Dec. 13th. Payment #3 -$10, Due by Jan. 17th.

*Students, remember that check out notes are due to Mrs. Vezertzis by break time or 9:30am. If you bring a note after break time they will not be accepted and your parents will have to come to the school and check you out. We do not allow check outs over the phone. 

 *Thurs. Nov. 8th - Balfour will pick up Senior orders - Cafeteria - 11-1pm.

*Mon. Nov. 12th - Veterans Day - NO SCHOOL

*Tues. Nov. 13th - Senior Panoramic Picture - 9:30am  - Gym

*Wed. Nov. 14th - Career Day - 9-11am

*Thurs. Nov. 15th - Midterms Go Home

*Thurs. Nov. 15th - Fall Blood Drive - Gym - 8am-1pm

*Mon. Nov. 19th– Fri. Nov. 23rd - Thanksgiving Holidays - NO SCHOOL

*Thurs. Dec. 13th - Christmas Band Concert - 6:30pm - City Auditorium

*Sat. April 6th - Prom - Canyon Center - 6-11pm

*Fri. April 12th - Race to Embrace - 9am-12 - Wildcat Stadium
