Graduation Ceremony!

Good morning Fort Payne High School Seniors and Parents,

I hope this message finds you safe and well!  My hope is normalcy continues to return to us daily.  Last Friday, Governor Ivey again moved forward the reopening of our state. This will allow Fort Payne High School to have a graduation ceremony as scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2020, at 8:00 p.m. in WildcatStadium. Also, Friday, May 22, 2020, at 8:00 will be reserved for a makeup day if we have inclement weather on Thursday.  We will open both home and visitor bleachers for parents, family, and friends.  We will require family units to stay separated from other family units by 6 feet.  Our seniors will be seated on the field, facing the big screen.  They will also be seated 6 feet apart.  We have scheduled 8:00 p.m. as the starting time to enhance viewing of the live-feed proceedings on the big screen for better spectator viewing. At the conclusion of the graduation ceremony, we would ask that all visitors exit the stadium in order to accommodate social distancing regulations.

I am very excited to share this good news with you.  I am very sorry that the last quarter of your senior year has been so abruptly interrupted.  Having our graduation ceremony on the originally scheduled date is a positive that we can all appreciate.  Seniors, Mr. Jett will send you detailed instructions on various schedules and procedures that must take place before graduation night.

I truly look forward to seeing you back again, Thursday, May 21, I 2020!
