The fourth-grade gifted students have been learning about sustainability. Within this lesson the students studied the process and procedures of recycling. Earth Day is coming up on April 22, the students wanted to spread the word to the community that recycling is important. Foodland was kind enough to donate paper grocery bags for the fourth-grade students to decorate to bring attention to recycling and Earth Day. When anyone in the community goes to Foodland and request paper instead of plastic, they will see some wonderful artwork from an LRIS student.
